Our Board Robert Stammers, CFA In addition to being a founding member of the FLN, Bob was the head of investor education at CFA Institute where he created and promoted educational tools for myriad investor audiences, which included financial literacy content for the public. He was a long-time board member and chairman of the International Forum for Investor Education (FLIE.org) and created the Financial Literacy Network. Previously, Bob was a senior executive for several institutional fund managers, a $1 billion enhanced real estate fund, a $1.2 billion private timber fund, and several pension fund separate accounts. Bob has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Connecticut College, and a Masters in Business Administration from Emory University, and was awarded the CFA designation in 1997.Stephen P. Davenport, CFA In addition to being a founding member of the FLN, Steve is currently the Managing Partner at Circa Capital, LLC. He has extensive knowledge of equities, derivatives, and market dynamics. He uses a combination of quantitative and fundamental approaches in managing assets. Steve received a BS degree in Industrial Engineering at Columbia University, a BS degree in Math/Computer Science at Providence College, and a MS degree in Finance from Boston College. Steve also holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation since 2001. Steve has held multiple volunteer roles and leadership positions with the CFA Atlanta, ASFIP Foundation. During his role as President, Steve established a financial literacy foundation, with the main goal of helping the metro Atlanta community. In 2019, Steve received the FLY (Financial Leader of the Year) award from McCracken Alliance for his work in the financial literacy field. Steve applies a deep passion in addressing client needs and in improving the community.Barbara Mainzer, CFA In addition to being a founding member of the FLN, Barbara is a consultant and speaker. She serves as Board Member (currently is President of the Board of Directors of CFA Society Uruguay and an Independent Board Member at AFAP Sura) and is a Member of the Future of Finance Content Council, the Professional Learning Design Council and the Financial Literacy Council. She is a columnist with El Observador and Canal 4 in Uruguay and ABC Color (Newspaper and TV) in Paraguay. Has been teaching in university for 29 years. She is currently is Professor, Wealth Management (MBA) and Director, Wealth Management (Executive Education), Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (Argentina). Former Director and Business Manager, South Cone, Julius Baer (2012 – 2015), Head of Julius Baer Advisory, Vicepresident and Sales Manager, South Cone, Merrill Lynch (2010 – 2012), Head, Global Investment Division – Trustee Directed Assets, Merrill Lynch (2007-2012). Barbara is a multi-lingual, highly motivated and energetic executive with extensive experience in finance and private banking working in the local market as well as international (Swiss and American) banks. She held various functional roles in private banking including serving clients, portfolio analyst, sales manager, fiduciary roles, business manager, and heading an office. She is also an economist with a postgraduate degree in finance (CFA Charterholder) and leadership studies at Harvard Business School.Dr. Greg Filbeck, CFA, FRM, CAIA, CIPM, FDP, PRM In addition to being a founding member of the FLN, Greg holds the Samuel P. Black III Professor of Finance and Risk Management at Penn State Behrend and serves as Director of the Black School of Business. Professor Filbeck has authored or edited 15 books and published more than 105 refereed academic journal articles. He is the former President of the CFA Society Pittsburgh and will serve as the President’s Council Representative (PCR) for the eastern region from 2021-2023. He has a BS (engineering physics) from Murray State University, an MS in Applied Statistics from Penn State University, and a DBA (finance) from the University of Kentucky. William D. Krause, CFA In addition to being a founding member of the FLN, Will is a Portfolio Manager in Northern Trust’s Wealth Management practice. Over his career he has held numerous financial advisory roles, advising both private wealth and non-profit clientele on investment management, financial planning, and matters relating to trusts and estates. He is a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and sits on the Board of Directors of CFA Society Boston. He is a subject matter expert on sustainable investing. He is also focused on closing the financial literacy gap. He is co-chair of the CFA Boston Financial Literacy Initiative, a volunteer program that partners with local organizations to teach financial concepts to their constituents. Will is a graduate of Harvard University and is passionate about his service to the community. He is a member of the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee of the International Institute of New England (IINE). He also established IINE’s investment fund and currently sits as co-chair of its Investment Committee. IINE is a 100-year old non-profit that creates opportunities for refugees and immigrants to succeed in their new environment in New England. Finally, Will is a member of the Advisory Board of Boston’s Institute of Contemporary Art.Robin Masters, CFA In addition to being a founding member of the FLN, Robin serves on the board of CFA Society Bermuda, where she leads the society’s financial literacy initiatives. She is a Non-Executive Director of the Bermuda Monetary Authority, the sole regulator of the financial services sector in Bermuda, serves as an Independent Trustee of Legg Mason Global Asset Management Trust and Legg Mason Partners Equity Trust, and is a Non-Executive Director of certain HSBC offshore funds. She previously chaired the Bermuda Government Public Funds Investment Committee and has served on the board of several non-profits in Bermuda. She retired as Chief Investment Officer and Treasurer of ACE Limited, one of the world’s leading providers of commercial property and casualty insurance.Steve Rodgers, CFA Steve is the founder and owner of Kanoa Consulting providing financial services advice. Prior to moving to Switzerland in late 2018, he served as Chief Investment Officer & Executive Vice President at Bank of Hawaii in Honolulu. He managed an investment team there that oversaw over $7 billion USD of discretionary assets for institutional and high net worth clients. Prior to that, he worked in the bank’s Treasury department managing the bank’s asset/liability analytics, investment portfolio, as well as collateral, liquidity, and F/X exposures. Steve received his BA degree from Amherst College in Massachusetts and his MBA degree from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. He also served on the board of CFA Society Hawaii for 12 years and as its President from 2011-2013. He has been an active volunteer for CFA Society Switzerland since arriving here.Ashvin Vibhakar, CFA Dr. Vibhakar currently serves as Joe T. Ford Professor of Finance in the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance at the University of Arkansas Littlerock. Prior to his current position Dr. Vibhakar served as Managing Director of Asia Pacific for CFA Institute residing in Hong Kong from 2007-12. During 20012-2015 he was responsible for developing strategies to restore trust in the financial markets (Future of Finance), a global initiative of CFA Institute. Prior to 2007 Dr. Vibhakar was a faculty member of UALR for 27 years and held various positions within the College of Business during his tenure at UA-Littlerock including Dean of the College of Business and Director of the Institute for Economic Advancement Dr. Ashvin Vibhakar, earned his PhD in Finance at University of Arkansas. Dr. Vibhakar also has an MBA from University of Central Missouri and bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from M. S. University in India. He is also a CFA charterholder.Jason Lee, CFA Jason has over 25 years of experience in fund management, equities sales, and analysis. He most recently served as CEO and CIO of Libra Invest Bhd. Prior to that, Jason was the Head of Equities Sales of Macquarie Capital Securities (Malaysia). He qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst, served on the Board of CFA Society Malaysia since 2000, and has recently been elected as the President Council Representative for Asia Pacific South.
